Charecter: Ryu
From game: Street Fighter II
Version: 0.5
--------------------------------------------
Info

Usual disclaimer, I take no responsibilty for this fighter screwing your computer. (Not that it will)

This is my first stab at a M.U.G.E.N. charecter. There is still a lot to add, but I couldn't help, but realease it early. So here is what version 0.5 of Ryu has...

-2 buttons, punch and kick
-1 special move, fireball
-1 super move, super fireball
-4 palletes
-1 simple background

--------------------------------------------
Setup

Add this to the select.cfg file in the mugen\data directory: ryu, data/ryubg.def
Place ryubg.def file in the mugen\data directory
Place ryubg.sff file in the mugen\graphics directory
Create a ryu directory in the chars directory and place the rest of the files there

--------------------------------------------
Moves

You punch with button a, kick with button b. To pull off the fireball press down, downforward, forward, and punch. To throw a super fireball your super meter has to be at least up to level 1. You press back, downback, down, downforward, forward, and punch.

--------------------------------------------
What to expect in future releases

There should only be one more release of this charecter. He will have possibly at least one more punch and kick. A throw. Dragon punch and hurrican kick. 1 more super move. More detailed background with music. Plus all of the small bugs exsisting in this version will be corected. The background will be much better in the next version because M.U.G.E.N. will have a whole new way of making backgrounds, so I didn't put to much effort into this one.

Thanks to

I've got to thank all of the wonderful people on the UNITED message board that helped me solve all of my problems and teach me a bunch of stuff with M.U.G.E.N.. I used the cmd and cns files of one of the UNITED charecters that I edited for Ryu because I am still learning how to make fighters. So I thank the UNITED team for making such great cmd and cns files! :) Oh yeah some little company named Capcom for something, foregot what. ;)
